Important message

The Care Awards Ceremony will be held in Brussels on 24th October. The ceremony will close the “Orbit” event by Pub.be, dedicated to sustainability and change.

N. B: all participating entries submitted in 2018 will be judged alongside 2019 entries.

The European Association of Communications Agencies and ACT Responsible created this award in 2009. It aims to highlight the advertising industry’s contribution to society by awarding the most successful creative social and environmental campaigns.

The Care Awards includes ads for public health, the environment, sustainable consumption, public safety, disability, human rights, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, education and other similar topical issues.

The Care Awards’ jury is chaired by a member of the European Parliament and composed of NGO & institutions communications directors, creative directors, and CSR experts. In 2019, we will open up the jury to CSR & marketing directors.

I look forward to seeing the new creative entries this year and to welcoming you to the 2017 Care Awards. Participating as a Jury Chair for the first time in the Care Awards last year left a strong mark on me. I was impressed at how such difficult stories, ranging from a large variety of topics, and their messages were expressed so effectively and effortlessly in just a matter of minutes. Marketing is a business tool that can have a strong impact, and not only in a business environment. The Care Awards recognise excellence in this form of communication to change people’s behaviour for the benefit of the consumer and society as a whole. Instead of drawing attention to a product, these campaigns highlight everyday problems that are too often ignored in a way that inspires action.

Czech Member, European Parliament2019 Jury President
