The Care Awards, created by the European association of communications agencies, recognise agencies’ excellent work in promoting care for people and the environment. A special jury, presided by a member of the European parliament, decides the winner. This sparks conversation and discussions about complex but important issues.

Recognising excellence in promoting care for people and the environment

Ms Dita Charanzová,

Vice President of the European Parliament

Jury President

I look forward to seeing the new creative entries this year again. Participating as a Jury Chair to Care Awards left a strong mark on me. I am impressed at how such difficult stories, ranging from a large variety of topics, and their messages were expressed so effectively and effortlessly in just a matter of minutes. Communication is a tool that can have a strong impact, and not only in a business environment. The Care Awards recognise excellence in this form of communication to change people’s behaviour for the benefit of the consumer and society as a whole. Instead of drawing attention to a product, these campaigns highlight everyday problems that are too often ignored in a way that inspires action.

About the Care Awards

This award aims to recognise excellence in social marketing. It highlights the advertising industry’s specific contribution to society by selecting and celebrating the most successful creative social marketing campaigns. The awards cover subjects such as public health, the environment, sustainable consumption, public safety, disability, human rights, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, education and other similar topical public issues..

The Care Awards’ jury is chaired by a member of the European Parliament and composed of NGO & institutions communications directors, creative directors, and CSR experts.

The jury will judge a shortlist of campaigns drawn from agencies’ submissions and will decide on the winning entries in a range of categories.

Categories

NGOs & Foundations

Non-profit organisations and non-governmental bodies — an organisation that exists for educational or charitable reasons and from which its shareholders or trustees do not benefit financially. An organisation created by private persons or organisations with no participation or representation of any government.

Governments & Institutions

Government bodies and related organisations — an organisation that is the governing authority of a political unit, the ruling power in a political society and the apparatus through which a governing body functions and exercises authority.

Companies & Businesses

Corporate governance (CSR) — corporate campaigns that promote care for safety, youth, communities and the environment.
